The event will have a high level of IT and communications infrastructure in place, including phone and internet connection at each checkpoint and campsite. Participants can bring their own devices and communicate with the outside world during the event, allowing friends and family to follow their progress.
The event timing system will be live to web with full Facebook integration, including regularly updated pictures and videos of competitors.
Each competitor (Big Red Run and Born to Run 100km) will have a GPS tracker to enable, friends, family and event organizers to follow their progress.
Video and pictures from the event will be posted to the event website regularly throughout the event.
